Forget Formula 1
I've got a new love!
About 10 years ago I owned a van called a Fiat Amigo, this was built on the fiat 900t.
Later I got an older fiat 850 but I had to ditch my love for the vans, no cash!.
But I'm back in the swing of things with a Fiat 900e Caravel 3 berth 903 cc motor caravan
Its FAB

I don't have any photos of my vans but these are the vans in the original state, before conversion
The top one (fiat 850) was converted to a Fargo, 4 berth with pop up roof
The 900t was an amigo, almost the same but the roof opened from the side
The 900e Caravel has a very light roof that opens the opposite way, is 3 berth, has mains hook-up, a Zig unit and 3 way fridge.
Projects
I'm currently tracking down parts because my baby is very ill, 1 liter of oil every 150 miles is not a very good sign
The valve guides are very worn but I believe the engine might be ok
I had major overheating but this was cured by replacing the so called new head gasket, the radiator cap, the thermostat and the radiator. I think I've over done things I'm now over cooling. I have also had to rebuild the starter motor. And I'm about to give the distributor a good service, It miss fires big time.
I'm going to fit an electric radiator fan connected to an adjustable thermostat but I must replace the water pump for a smaller Fiat Uno type pump to take the existing fan out of the way.
I am also after a Fiat Spider camshaft to up my compression and give me extra bhp, to do this I must up grade to high compression pistons. I will take a modern Fiat 903 cc engine, strip it down and rebuild it to spin anticlockwise . To do this I must replace all electrics, crank shaft, camshaft, distributor, oil pump, timing chain and sprockets. The con rods must be turned to balance correctly.
This rather large project will leave me with a proper oil filter to get rid of that nasty sludge a centrifugal can't remove.
